District Maintains A-Rating, Outperforms All Neighboring Counties

On July 7, the Florida Department of Education (FLDOE) announced that the School District of Palm Beach County maintained its “A” rating for the 2021-2022 school year. Among Florida’s seven large school districts, Palm Beach and Miami-Dade are the only two that earned a letter grade of “A.” Palm Beach County also outperformed all neighboring districts, including Broward, Martin, St. Lucie, Indian River, and Okeechobee.

District Continues Streak of Recognition for Outstanding Commitment to Music Education

For the sixth consecutive year, the School District of Palm Beach County has been honored with the prestigious Best Communities for Music Education designation from the National Association of Music Merchants (NAMM) Foundation. Palm Beach County is one of only six school districts in Florida to receive the distinction for 2022, following the completion of an extensive NAMM survey/application.

Florida sugar barge makes maiden voyage to New York

American Sugar Refining, a member of West Palm Beach-based ASR Group, and its parent companies – Florida Crystals Corp. and the Sugar Cane Growers Cooperative of Florida – celebrated the maiden voyage of the newly constructed barge Knot Refined, which departed from the Port of Palm Beach to deliver 18,000 tons of Palm Beach County-grown and -milled raw sugar to ASR Group’s Domino Sugar refinery in New York.
